ABOUT ME:
In 2020 I started my PhD studies at the Laboratory of Brain Imaging in a project for “Understanding patterns of emotional responses to climate change and their relation to mental health and climate action taking”. My main motivation to work on this project is a deep concern for potential negative impact of climate change on human mental health. I also hope to discover better ways of communicating climate change in order to motivate proenvironmental behaviours. We know climate change can evoke strong emotional responses. I want to know how to use them to shape public policies and communication strategies while caring for and protecting the mental health of the people.
Prior to my PhD studies, I have been involved in several research projects in both academic and business environments, supported by prestigious funding agencies, such as National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) and European Union Horizon 2020 Programme.
I finished my master thesis in Psychology in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Marcin Szwed at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. My research focused on how behavioural manifestations (especially numerical priming effect) can inform us of the nature of number representations.
I obtained my bachelor degree in Cognitive Science in 2016 at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Under the supervision of Prof. Bipin Indurkya, my thesis was centred on user experience research of a system for monitoring therapy progress.
I am also interested in applications of psychological science in technology, use of technology in psychological therapy and diagnosis and climate change and related social policy.
